Smart Music for Band StudentsHello music students. If you have been doing some of the activities on this page, you might notice that there are no lessons directed toward band students. Most band students may not have access to their instruments, so the lessons have been music concept based and not specific to a band instrument. If you would like more information, read the statement from the Superintendent below. If you have your instrument, I would like to introduce you to smart music. Please click link below to watch my video explaining how to sign up and use Smart Music From SLCSD District Superintendent Fine Arts Instruction during Dismissal
Fine Arts instruction is an important part of a student’s educational experience as well as part of the Utah State Core. We value the progress students have made in dance, theater, music, and visual art classes in all of our schools and look forward to resuming standard classes again soon. However, because fine arts classes are participatory by nature, often team-based, and require specific materials, (i.e. instruments, art supplies, etc.), instruction will have to be altered during the school dismissal. In an effort to limit exposure to others, we are asking that students and parents do not come to schools to retrieve instruments, supplies, projects, etc. Teachers will provide instruction and activities that can be accomplished without requiring specific equipment. Activities should be based on individual growth and concept mastery instead of targeted whole-class progress. Music Class Escape RoomMusic Class Escape Room Have you ever been in an escape room?
